“For us Basse Copette is set amidst breathtaking scenery. We have appreciated the quietness of its rural location, the pool and the tastefully decorated bedrooms. Dad has not slept so well, for years! The children named the door to their room ‘doorway to heaven’. It was a special treat to have Thomas cook and serve an evening meal for us, accommodating our youngest’s (6 year old boy) enthusiasms to learn to cook an apple tart. All the children appreciated the meal. Thanks again for your caring attitude and the help you have given us.”
Whether you are looking for a self catering family holiday in France or prefer Bed and Breakfast accommodation, Basse Copette is the perfect family destination in undiscovered Seine Maritime, Upper Normandy.
At Basse Copette itself, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained. La Grange has a fussball table, there is also a boules pit (2×15 meters) and an outdoor chess board and set. And of course the heated swimming pool (5×9 meters), which keeps youngsters occupied for ages, while adults relax in the sun and take in the stunning view. The garden is fully enclosed, and there is ample safe space for children to run around and play games. The surrounding forest and farmlands provides a wonderful setting for walks and bike rides (some bikes will be available for summer 2010).
Also on offer are ‘children’s cookery classes’ - these are tailored to suite the age and capabilities of the budding young chef. For adults, the Basse Copette recipe book is coming soon!
Further afield, be it a quick 20 minute journey (Le château Rambures), or 35 minutes to the local beaches, or a day-trip to Disneyland Paris, there is something to please everyone, of any age! For example, how about:

Parc Asterix
A ride on a historic steam train over the Somme Bay
A day cycling along the Paris to London cycle path

“Thank you so much Thomas for a wonderful first week of our holiday. The accommodation is beautiful, the views spectacular. We ordered the duck – highly recommend it to anyone … as everyone else has said! This place is perfect for young children too – snail & bear hunting a particular favourite for us. It has also been a pleasure to meet someone as kind and helpful as Thomas – it really made our holiday. Will be back next year to find more bears!”
