Escape the rush for Christmas, or bring the children and experience some of France’s biggest and best Christmas markets while relaxing in the comfort of Basse Copette. The city of Amiens, only 35 minutes away, boasts the biggest Marché de Noël in northern France. And, from 1 December the cathedral in Amiens is lit up in a truly spectacular manner to bring the façade to life as it was during the Middle Ages (click here for more). Been there, done that? Then there is still the equally attractive market at Rouen.

Arrive at Basse Copette mid afternoon to complimentary, homemade mince-pies and fresh mulled wine. And then on one of your evenings enjoy a gourmet meal, sampling the culinary delights of Normandy — with a variety of choices to suit every taste. The meal begins at the fireside with a local cocktail, Kia Normande, and anchovy pinwheels. A typical menu is as follows:

B&B Accommodation
€200 per couple sharing, €30 per child (under 16)
The price is for two nights and includes the welcome refreshment on arrival, a gourmet meal, continental breakfasts, and ensuite accommodation. Other meals can be taken at Basse Copette (see the meals page for more information and costs). Or, on a straight forward B&B rate of €60 per couple sharing, per night.

Family Weekend offer €250 2 adults, up to 2 children (under 16), 2 nights, including gourmet meal
Couples Gourmet Weekend offer €250 including 2 dinners and 3rd night free

La Grange – Self Catering Cottage
€350 per couple, €40 per child (under 14), €60 for each additional adult
This price is for a three night stay, and linen, towels, an ample supply of firewood, as well as the basic essentials required for two or three nights are provided. Also included in the price is the welcome refreshment on arrival, a gourmet meal. For your other meals you can either eat out, including at the Farmhouse (see the meals page for more information and costs), or get your own provisions in for a cosy, more private stay. A simple self catering tariff is also available: €375 for 6 people over the weekend (Friday-Sunday), or €320 for a midweek stay (Monday-Thursday).
