Having been at Basse Copette for over seven years now I am on to my fifth Visitor’s Book. They are a wonderful record of the many people that have passed through the B&B and the gîte.
For the last few days a mum and her daughter have enjoyed a second visit to Basse Copette – staying for the first time in September 2009 to celebrate an 80th birthday.
The image to the right is their latest addition to the Visitor’s Book. An ingenious reference to the word games they enjoy playing in the evenings. After a long day out, out by 9.30 am and back between 6 and 7 pm come rain or shine, they enjoy an evening of Scrabble or Boggle – hence the two different grids. This time they invited me to join them. I was useless. I am more of a Sudoku fan. It shames me to have to admit I relied on the solution kindly supplied in pencil at the bottom of the page!
They told me as they were leaving this morning that Basse Copette is the only place they have ever returned to for a second stay.
